Production Manager SBS Food Commissioned Content (Contract Position)

SBS is looking for an experienced production manager to join SBS’s Commissioned Content team. Reporting to Commissioning Executive of Food, this is a management role that oversees planning and delivery of SBS’ commissioned content from commissioning to transmission.

You currently work as a production manager either with a broadcaster or an independent producer and a minimum of five years plus experience, is essential.  You are a self motivated team player with an ability to prioritise across multiple productions.

SKILLS REQUIRED Intricate knowledge of television or film production budgeting and scheduling, processes and rights. Demonstrated ability to provide advice and support to independent producers. Extensive knowledge of the post-production process. High level organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills ensuring excellent ongoing relationships with all stakeholders in a fast paced environment.

Advanced skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Familiarity with Pilat is desirable. Extensive experience in production is expected and experience in a broadcasting environment is highly desirable.

This is a full time, six month contract commencing April 6, 2015 (with the possibility of extension).
